AI-Powered Workday Platform Modernises HR, Finance and Student Systems in Higher Education
Workday Expands Across UK Universities with York and Hull Partnerships
Workday continues to expand at a rapid pace within the higher education sector in the UK and Ireland. The University of York was cited as the latest institution to follow suit and adopt a digital transformation solution involving Workday. Workday was introduced as an enterprise AI platform that assists higher education institutions, including universities, with people, money, and student information on an intelligent platform. This reflected an ever-increasing demand for higher education solutions from Workday within UK universities.It was pointed out that the University of York's Workday partnership followed because previously, the university had been using more than 30 different HR and finance systems, as well as 27 other systems. Due to this, there were issues with user experience, very limited self-service functionality, as well as impossibly difficult data-driven decision-making. By choosing Workday, jointly with KPMG UK, the University of York will be consolidating these various systems into a single system.
